CLASH Action Fortnight
The climate emergency is upon us. With COP26 held in the UK in November 2021, it seems that the debate around climate change has shifted – no longer is it a question of whether we need to act, but what are the priorities for action and how quickly?
At Screen Cornwall we are committed to being at the forefront of sustainability in Cornwall and the Scilly Isles. We believe that it is necessary to address the climate emergency throughout our business model and practices, creating a circular economy that enhances Cornwall’s cultural sector as well as building for a better future.
CLASH Action Fortnight campaign seeks to provide a space where inspiring conversations surrounding what we can do about the climate emergency can exist. Taking place from the 1st to the 14th of February, Cultivator + CLASH have worked with Do Nation to put together a list of 60 ways in which you can pledge to make your creative business and personal life more sustainable, offsetting and reducing the carbon consumed. By giving a diverse range of solutions for creating sustainable practice within the context of the climate emergency it makes it possible for anyone to engage no matter the size or scope of your business and creative practice.
By getting involved with the CLASH programme and pledging to make any change to your business practices, you are joining a growing community of business looking for active solutions to the climate emergency. CLASH can become a movement owned by the businesses and creative practitioners of Cornwall where issues surrounding sustainability can be at the forefront of our discourse.
At Screen Cornwall we want to lead by action and therefore –
