Cornwall garden in the new adaptation of The Secret Garden

A new adaptation of The Secret Garden has finally arrived in cinemas, as well as to buy or rent. The secret garden was pieced together from a variety of magical locations from across the U.K., with Cornwall’s subtropical Trebah Garden playing a starring role.

The film, based on the 1911 Frances Barnett novel, tells the story of a young, recently-orphaned girl sent to live with her uncle. Upon exploring her new, seemingly-isolated surroundings, she discovers an extraordinary garden and begins restoring it to its former glory.
