Open call to deliver Filmmaking Outreach Workshops

Screen Cornwall is looking for professionals to deliver hands-on filmmaking skills workshops across underserved areas of Cornwall.

We’re inviting proposals from experienced filmmakers to develop and deliver outreach sessions in the following locations:

  • North Cornwall (including Bude, Bodmin and Padstow)

  • SE Cornwall (including Saltash, Lostwithiel and Liskeard)

  • Newquay & St Austell

  • The Lizard & Helston

  • Isles of Scilly

  • Camborne, Redruth & Pool

Sessions should take place between 29th January 2024 and 28th March 2024 as either an in-person one day or evening format. Considerations for making the events as low-carbon as possible should be made, with practitioners strongly encouraged to apply only to work in their home area. Partnerships with existing local outreach organisations are welcomed.

Proposals should include details of potential venues and budget proposals should include professional fees, kit hire, venue hire and catering arrangements where appropriate.

Our Launching a Cornish Public Service Media programme 2023-2025, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, includes outreach and talent development work to grow the skills base in the sector.
