Location of the month: St Nectan’s Glen
Between Boscastle and Tintagel, just off the B263, tucked away on the North Cornwall coast is the idyllic St Nectan’s Glen. A magical place where the river Trevillet falls into a sixty-foot waterfall cascading down the rocks into a kieve. Surrounding the waterfall is a stunning woodland with a nature trail to walk through. The woods have a mystical feeling as the stream rolls through the middle.
Although this location is tucked away, it’s still popular with documentary crews and has recently hosted the BBC’s Sacred Wonders of Britain. On the main road adjacent, the Glen has a visitor’s car park with up to twenty hardstanding spaces, as well as a field used for additional spaces. The Glen has two separate houses for on-site accommodation, The Retreat and St Cleder, which sleep nine and six respectively. Additionally, there is an onsite studio space that could house a production office, as well as a café for catering.
