We nurture screen industry talent in Cornwall by providing opportunities for development and industry experience in creative, production, craft and technical. Individuals need to be registered on our Screen Cornwall Crew or Talent Database to access any of our skills, training and talent development programmes.
The Crew Database is for film & TV industry professionals from entry to expert-level, based in Cornwall and looking for work.
The Talent Database is for Writers, Directors or Producers living in Cornwall or currently living outside of the region but identifying as Cornish and creating work rooted in Cornwall.

Crew Skills Sessions
This series of short, practice-based skills workshops for entry and early-stage freelancers is being delivered by professional crew working in the region.
Peninsula Producers Network
New and emerging producers in Cornwall and Devon are given the opportunity to join workshops, events, and a peer network centred on skills development in this annual programme.

2019 - 2023
Screen Cornwall worked closely with Falmouth University’s School of Film & Television to help students develop their skills in industry through this series of short film commissions.
ScreenSkills First Break
First Break is a High-end TV Skills Fund pre-new entrant inclusivity programme, delivered by ScreenSkills, which aims to de-mystify entry into the TV industry for individuals.
New Writers Network
New Writers Network is an annual programme for writers with short film ideas to develop their script, with the support and guidance of an experienced script editor.

The New Creatives talent development scheme offered opportunities for emerging artists to create new work in film, audio or interactive media, designed for BBC platforms.

Cornish Voices was a one-year screenwriting group created and run by BBC Writersroom, in partnership with Screen Cornwall.
